When art historian Erwin Kronberger comes to town for an internship at Dr. Eberhard's gallery and moves into the apartment next door for a few weeks, his presence slowly begins to change her life. Forty-year-old gallery owner Eleonore Eberhard is constantly working, with an upcoming exhibition opening just around the corner, neglecting her husband and son. Mayor Franz Leitner is devoted to his job and has only the well-being of the town and its residents in mind.
