One day, Seiichi tells his parents that he has someone he wants them to meet—his former junior in school, Yuko Ogata (Anna Nakagawa). Yuko admires traditional woodworking and dreams of marrying into the trade. Stunned yet delighted, Bunzo and Sumiko are thrown into a whirlwind of emotions.
