Anneli Kustfält has followed the artist closely for two years, as she returns to the studio and life as a freelance artist after her years at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. The documentary is a deep dive into an artistry characterized by courage, independence and a reluctance to please. But also a journey back to Marie-Louise's upbringing, the alcoholic father and the anxious mother.
