He's investigating infidelity cases for high school students when he finally lands the first legitimate job he's had in years. Charged with returning a teenage runaway to her equally troublesome mother, he is quickly reminded that nothing will ever come easy for him, and finds his investigation hampered by a difficult suspect, a corrupt cop, and his own ineptitude.
