女紋身師習慣將愛人的名字紋在身上，當感情結束時，她自會設計另一款圖案將本來的紋身蓋過。她邂逅了「藍草音樂」樂手，加入了他的樂隊演唱，最後把他名字也紋在身上了。兩個不平凡的人無意之中熱戀起來，偶然生下女兒，一切隨機隨緣，但幸福圓滿。可是，隨著女兒被確診癌症，三口子的甜美生活逐漸崩潰，許多美麗回憶、激情愛慕，如潮水來襲，時而甘甜，摻混著現實的絕望，時而酸澀。導演巧妙地交錯時間敍述故事，讓主角往返於幸福天堂和悲痛地獄之間，猶如向眾生查問：幸福若然是一個圓形，它崩裂時，「愛」能修補缺口？還是「愛」也無能...
