名導演維托里奧·德·西卡所導演的本片是一部羣星喜劇戲，它可以分為三部。第一部講述的是，一個在黑市裏專門賣外國香煙的女人從未嘗過鐵窗的滋味，因為當時法律規定不逮捕懷孕的婦女和產後六個月的婦女。所以在產後，就催丈夫作愛，因此逃過了入獄的命運，不過最後因懷孕失敗還是走進了監獄。第二部講述一位富婆迷戀比她年輕的作家，二人一次開著高級轎車兜風，因二人氣氛熱烈而導致撞車，富婆頓覺索然無味，遂攔車揚長而去。第三部講述一位高級妓女與一位神學院的學生相戀，妓女擺脱了恩客的糾纏，但經不住神學院學生的老父母懇求而不得...
