帕特羅是著名的舞蹈家。他不僅跳芭蕾，還暗自在舞鞋上釘上扣板，將踢踏舞跳得出神入化、優美無比，但他的經紀人傑弗瑞認為帕特羅是在褻讀聖物。琳達在巴黎是享有盛名的喜劇舞蹈明星。她厭倦了聚光燈、記者、名氣的纏繞，常抱怨她的經紀人把她變成了一個不快樂的女孩，她決定離開娛樂圈去結婚。當她遇到帕特羅後，被她精湛的舞姿吸引，他們翩翩起舞，配合默契，像是天生的一對。媒體不斷的爆出他倆已經結婚的假新聞。為了名譽，琳達決定和帕特羅先結婚再離婚，當她看見芭蕾演員對帕特羅的愛慕時，琳達帶著酢意離去。帕特羅不能再和琳達跳舞...
